Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution led this year's Eid ul-Fitr prayers. Speaking after the prayers, His Eminence congratulated the Iranian nation and the Islamic Ummah on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr and urged all Muslim people and governments to help the flood-stricken people of Pakistan.
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to his meetings with different groups of people - including students, professors, entrepreneurs, and officials of the country - during the month of Ramadan and said that the hopeful, determined and enthusiastic Iranian nation will reach the peaks of progress, grandeur and glory.

He further referred to the crimes and oppressions of the Zionist regime against the people of Palestine in Gaza and the West Bank and said: "The enemies of the Palestinian nation and the supporters of the Zionist regime held a meeting in Washington in order to cover up their crimes. And they called it peace talks. But who is this peace between? Does this peace have any meaning considering the realities of Palestine?"
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the efforts of the Zionist regime to make Quds a Jewish area are a great crime and said that Muslim governments should fulfill their duty in this regard.
Ayatollah Khamenei praised the faith, valor, and resistance of the Palestinian people in the face of the plots and heavy pressures of the Zionist regime and its supporters. He further stated: "The Palestinian nation is now stronger and more determined than any other time. And it will undoubtedly remove the fake Zionist regime from the Palestinian lands."
Elsewhere in his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the issue of the flood in Pakistan and said that it is currently the most urgent issue of the Muslim world.
He expressed his sorrow for the pains suffered by the Muslim Pakistani nation and urged all Muslims of the world to help the grief-stricken people of Pakistan.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the aid given by the Iranian people and government to the flood-stricken people of Pakistan is insufficient and urged all Muslim government, nations, and organizations - including the Organization of the Islamic Conference -to rush to the aid of the people and government of Pakistan.
